Detail of stonework by the Anasazi in Chaco Canyon

This is a tiny detail of the city which was the center of a native American culture that had lasted for centuries and that extended over large parts of New Mexico, Arizona, and the Four Corners regions of Utah and Colorado, before suddenly collapsing.
