CHACO CANYON NM RUINS: STONEWORK
As you scan down this rather large picture (which I made large so as to show the detail), look at the stonework of these interior walls. They are not quite a millenia and a half old. This is a tiny detail of the city which was the center of a native American culture that had lasted for centuries and that extended over large parts of New Mexico, Arizona, and the Four Corners regions of Utah and Colorado, before suddenly collapsing.
