1974
68 yards with 12 gauge slug.
Hung at Larry's.
I got seven bucks in the seven years that I hunted; so I was pretty lucky. There are photos somewhere, but I haven't found them yet.
Plus a buck and a doe which don't count because I hit them with a car.
Obviously (when you see the racks), I hunted for the venison, which is very low in saturated fats.
The rope on the shotgun was my strap: worked well.
Original rear sight was built-up and pointed bead of thick paint carefully positioned by trial and error for 50 yards.
1975
12 gauge.
Also hung at Larry's.
1976
One antler.
The other had fallen off and had been lost.
This would have been a six pointer.
Yes, there are 2 gas tanks in this SAAB: my answer to the oil crisis and gas shortage.
