VROMAN'S NOSE
Looking down about 600 ft. from a shear wall originally left by glacial ice action in the Schoharie Valley. At one time (and perhaps several times), this valley was filled by a glacial lake. At least once, the lake broke free to the south, probably through an ice dam, and created the Grand Gorge down to and past Roxbury NY.
We watched hawks soaring beneath us.
